Actor Johnny Wactor, known for his role as Brando Corbin in General Hospital, was tragically killed In May during a confrontation with four men who were allegedly attempting to steal the catalytic converter from his vehicle.

The tragic incident happened in downtown Los Angeles after Wactor finished a bartending shift. One of the suspects, Leonel Gutierrez, has since pleaded guilty to charges of attempted robbery and grand theft and was released on bail set at $120,000. Three others, Robert Barceleau, Sergio Estrada, and Frank Olano, have also been charged in connection with the crime.
According to police reports, Wactor approached the suspects near his vehicle, but did not confront them aggressively. His brother, Grant Wactor, stated that Johnny raised his hands in an attempt to diffuse the situation and protect a female colleague who was with him. Unfortunately, Wactor was shot and later died from a gunshot wound to the chest, which was confirmed by a medical examiner.
Barceleau and Estrada face additional charges of murder, while Olano has been charged with being an accessory and several firearm-related offenses. All three have pleaded not guilty.
