A Wells Fargo employee in Tempe, Arizona, was tragically found dead in her cubicle four days after she clocked in for work. The employee, 60-year-old Denise Prudhomme, arrived at the office on Friday, August 16, around 7 a.m., according to the Tempe Police. After that, there were no further records of her entering or leaving the building.

It wasn’t until Tuesday, August 20, that on-site security discovered Prudhomme’s body at her desk on the third floor of the office. Police stated that the initial investigation found no obvious signs of foul play, and they are waiting for the county's medical examiner to determine her cause of death.
The police had responded to the scene after receiving a call about a "subject down." Although there were no clear indications of foul play, the investigation is ongoing.

Wells Fargo expressed their sadness over Prudhomme’s death in a statement, saying their thoughts are with her family and loved ones. The company mentioned that they are working with her family to provide support during this difficult time. Wells Fargo also stated that they are reviewing their internal procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of their employees and have made counselors available to help those affected by the incident.
Prudhomme had been working in a less populated area of the office, according to Wells Fargo. The Maricopa County Medical Examiner’s Office is now responsible for determining the cause of death.
An unnamed employee mentioned to a local news outlet that several people in the building noticed a "foul odor" but dismissed it as a plumbing issue. The building has 24/7 security, but the majority of employees at the Tempe location work remotely.
