According to Sag Harbor Village police, Timberlake drove through a stop sign and shifted into oncoming traffic at 12:37 a.m. on Tuesday. He was driving a 2025 grey BMW XM on Madison Street when he failed to stop and stay in his lane.
Police reported that Timberlake was driving drunk, had bloodshot and glassy eyes, and his breath smelled strongly of alcohol. He also had slow speech, was unsteady on his feet, and did poorly on a field sobriety test.
Timberlake told the arresting officer he had only one drink. The 43-year-old pop star was held overnight and released on his own recognizance Tuesday morning.

He has won 10 Grammys, four Emmys, and numerous Billboard Music and MTV Video Music Awards. Timberlake was also nominated for an Oscar and a Golden Globe for his song "Can't Stop the Feeling!" from the movie "Trolls."
Last year, Timberlake reunited with *NSYNC for the "Trolls Band Together" soundtrack and performed with them again in March. He has also starred in several popular movies, including "The Social Network," "Bad Teacher," and "Friends With Benefits."
