According to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office (JSO), the 32-year-old woman approached a kindergarten teacher at a local homeless shelter. The teacher, who wished to remain anonymous, reported that the woman offered her daughter in a shocking exchange. "Take her with you. Give me $20, you can have her," the woman allegedly stated.
This wasn't the only instance of disturbing behavior. Another individual came forward, revealing that the same woman attempted to offer her daughter for sex for just $5. Thankfully, both witnesses did the right thing and reported these encounters to the authorities.
The child, whose identity is being protected, was described as "severely lethargic" and appeared to be unwashed. Authorities promptly took her into protective custody, prioritizing her safety and well-being.
